What data do we collect?

We collect the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number)
  • Order information (Name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address, and phone number)

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Book or enquire online or place an order for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
  • Google Tag Manager – allows us to track conversions of our ads setup in platforms such as Google Ads.
  • Google Fonts – allows us to use web fonts. Google Fonts collects the requests from the user, fetches the font file from its servers, and delivers them to the end user to produce a font. In this process, Google’s server needs the receiver’s IP address to deliver the font file
  • Google Analytics – We use third party providers including Google Analytics which use cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyse information about how our website performs and how our users, in general, navigate through and use it. Google Analytics gathers information about your use of our website over time, such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, timestamp, and similar data about your use of our website surfschool.ie

We may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Rezgo
    Our booking system is hosted by Rezgo. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our services to you. Your data is stored through Rezgo’s data storage, databases and the general Rezgo application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
  • For Voucher sales we use Rezgo and Stripe.
  • For online bookings we use Rezgo and Stripe.

In general, these third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. Your information may be transferred outside of Europe. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

How will we use your data?

We collect your data so that we can:

  • Process your order and manage your booking.
  • Email you with news or special offers on other products and services we think you might like.

If you agree, we will share your data with our partner companies so that they may process your booking with us.

How do we store your data?

Your data is securely stored on secure servers hosted by Blacknight based in Ireland.  To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions (including appropriate technical and organisational measures) and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

We will keep your completed waiver form for 6 months. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data.

We will keep any accident report forms for 3 years. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data.

We will keep your payment details for 6 years. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data.

Marketing

We would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

  • You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
