Surfing lessons are 2 hours long and take place in maximum waist depth water with our surf instructors who are in the water with the surfers at all times.

Come and enjoy a fun filled experience in a fantastic location. Our Private Group Surf Lessons are bespoke to your group. Even if the experience levels of your group vary, our coaches will tailor their coaching to each individual. While it is a group lesson, our coaching is very individual with lots of personal attention and encouragement from our experienced and qualified surf instructors. Me and my friends went for a surf weekend in Fanore and booked a lesson for the first day. The group were of mixed ability and Pete was amazing at ensuring everyone was engaged and learning something new the entire time. He took his time explaining the basics, but also showed a few of us how to catch a green wave. Amazing experience. Couldn't rate it any higher, and having completed many lessons before with numerous other instructors, Pete was definitely the best. Worth a lesson with him no matter what your ability. My very first time surfing and I had an awesome experience with Pete and Ali at Aloha Surf School! Pete gave an excellent lesson, breaking down the basics and coaching in the water, making the experience super fun and encouraging. And Ali was so welcoming and helpful with fitting the wetsuits. Plus, their location on Fanore Beach is spectacular with the Burren and sand dunes as a beautiful backdrop. FAQ

How do we book?

We schedule in these sessions at a time that suits you. Get in touch via email or phone to book in your session

Is all the equipment included?

Yes all equipment is included, You just need your swim gear, towel and some warm clothes for afterwards. We provide surfboards, warm wetsuits and boots. In the colder months we also provide gloves and hoods

Do you need to be a good swimmer?

Our lessons are held in maximum waist depth water with an instructor in the water at all times. However you do need to have some basic swimming ability and be able to thread water

What are the lesson times?

Private Group Lessons are not on our booking calendar. You let us know when you are available to surf and we can schedule in a time that suits your group

What if conditions are unsuitable??

We always run in the rain as you’re getting wet anyway! If it looked like sea conditions were going to be unsuitable, we would get in touch to let you know and reschedule or refund. Please check our Terms and Conditions for more details

Are there toilets and showers available?

Yes there are toilets at the beach and also outdoor showers available

Do you provide transport?

No we do not provide transport. We can recommend local bus providers or check out our Find Us page for transport options

Do you provide accommodation?

No we don’t provide accommodation. If you get in touch we can recommend local accommodation providers
