In our Private Surf Lesson, we prioritise the areas you’re interested in. Common skills we focus on are paddling, pop-up and stance refinement, catching unbroken waves, take-off techniques, basic turning, surfing in trim on green water waves, wave selection, and positioning.

Me and my friends went for a surf weekend in Fanore and booked a lesson for the first day. The group were of mixed ability and Pete was amazing at ensuring everyone was engaged and learning something new the entire time. He took his time explaining the basics, but also showed a few of us how to catch a green wave. Amazing experience. Couldn't rate it any higher, and having completed many lessons before with numerous other instructors, Pete was definitely the best. Worth a lesson with him no matter what your ability. FAQ

How do I book?

We schedule in these sessions at a time that suits you. Get in touch via email or phone to book in your session

Is all the equipment included?

Yes all equipment is included, You just need your swim gear, towel and some warm clothes for afterwards. We provide surfboards, warm wetsuits and boots. In the colder months we also provide gloves and hoods

Do you need to be a good swimmer?

Our lessons are held in maximum waist depth water with an instructor in the water at all times. However you do need to have some basic swimming ability and be able to thread water.

Can I use my own equipment?

Yes you can. We also have a selection of other boards you can try depending on conditions on the day

What are the lesson times?

Our lesson times revolve around the tide times. These change daily and so our lesson times can be at different times according to the tide times for that day

Can’t find a lesson time scheduled for when you want to go?

The Private lessons are not on our booking calendar. You let us know when you are available to surf and we can schedule in a time that suits you

What if conditions are unsuitable??

We always run in the rain as you’re getting wet anyway! If it looked like sea conditions were going to be unsuitable, we would get in touch to let you know and reschedule or refund. Please check our Terms and Conditions for more details

Are there toilets and showers available?

Yes there are toilets at the beach and also outdoor showers available
