Surfing lessons are 2 hours long with your instructor alongside coaching you in the water at all times.
Our Improver Surf Lessons are suitable for people with some prior surfing experience and are looking to advance their skills. Coaching is tailored to your level and goals.
As the only surf school based at Fanore Beach, we get to enjoy relatively uncrowded waves. This allows you to learn and progress in a less zoo like atmosphere than some other surf locations.
To accelerate your learning curve our Improver Lessons are run One to One with one of our professional instructors. That way you make maximum progression.
Advance your skills
If you’ve mastered getting to your feet in the whitewater but are struggling to progress then our Improver Lesson is for you. These sessions build on the skills you’ve already learnt and help you progress to the next level. We tailor the lesson according to your level and surfing goals. Using theory and practical guidance, our experienced coaches will help you gain confidence in the surf, work on your technique, catch more waves and progress your surfing.

We schedule in these sessions at a time that suits you. Get in touch via email or phone to book in your session
Yes all equipment is included, You just need your swim gear, towel and some warm clothes for afterwards. We provide surfboards, warm wetsuits and boots. In the colder months we also provide gloves and hoods
Yes you can. We also have a selection of other boards you can try depending on conditions on the day
Our lesson times revolve around the tide times. These change daily and so our lesson times can be at different times according to the tide times for that day
The Improver sessions are not on our booking calendar. You let us know when you are available to surf, we’ll check the forecasts and then schedule your session when forecasted conditions look good
We run our Improver lessons on a One to One basis so we can tailor the session to your level and goals. That way you get maximum benefit from your session
We always run in the rain as you’re getting wet anyway! If it looked like sea conditions were going to be unsuitable, we would get in touch to let you know and reschedule or refund. Please check our Terms and Conditions for more details
Yes there are toilets at the beach and also outdoor showers available
